Today's Pocomoke river bass fishing report is from a tournament that I fished put on by Delaware Bass Federation Nation. 33 boats turned out for this Pocomoke River fishing derby. I decided not to fish the ever popular Goat Island today.

On most Pocomoke River bass fishing trips, I might have got in around Goat Island and rubbed elbows for a while. But on this day, after fishing community grass beds on the bay most of the season. I was focused on getting away from the crowd and doing my own thing.

Today I fished from above the draw bridge in Snow Hill down to the Pocomoke City bridge.

3 keepers on the day:

1 = Creek off of main river
2 = Above the draw bridge
7 = Bass came off the main river in pads and around lay downs.

10 total bass.

Best bait = wacky worm
Number of boats = 33
My biggest bass = 2 lbs
My weight = 4.08 lbs
Finished in 28th place
Winning weight = 13.96 lbs
Big fish of tournament = 4.56 lbs

I will need to make up some serious ground in the next couple tournaments. Right now I'm sitting at 21st place in the A.O.Y Championship points race. That concludes this Pocomoke River bass fishing report.

If I could have done 1 thing different:

I would have stayed above draw bridge all day.
