Today started out as planed, I ran north and started catching largemouth bass in my first couple spots that were picked out. Fishing was good but not great in the morning up north, with fish being caught here and there for around 3 hours.

The wind was a factor today and had the river wave action around 4 ft in some areas. Air temp as chilly, I left my Frabill F2 Jacket or Mercury Marine hoodie on for most of the day. I tried several areas once I headed south but did not go past Mattawomen on the return trip. Wave action and over spray had left me with a couple inches of water down in the console area of my boat and had me thinking about wearing my Frabill F2 bibs next time to keep warm and DRY!

I did not catch any fish after I left up north today. The day ended with me getting towed into the ramp with engine troubles around lunch time. All 4 fish today came on the Rat-L-Trap ECHO 1.75 square bill crankbait.

I would have went south of Mattawomen Creek and fished grass beds instead of fishing rocks up north.
