After two bass fishing tournaments in the 2013 FLW bass fishing league, Shenandoah division. Melvin Smitson has surged up from 65 place into 33rd place in the Shenandoah division point standings!

"I started the year off slow on the Potomac with only 4 keepers in the Shenandoah division. So it feels reel good to get back on track with a 5 bass limit on Smith Mountain Lake today 05/18/13. I'm not exactly sure how my total of 9 medium to small bass moved me up 32 places for the year end points standings in the Shenandoah division. But, I'm tell'n ya'll right now I'll take it!"

I feel like the odds are in my favor at this point to finish the year out strong in the Shenandoah division. I mean, usually heating up with the weather has been my M.O. as far as catching big ones goes.

Really looking forward to see how this thing plays out. Two out of the last three tournaments are on my home river ( Potomac River ) and the other is on the James River. Summertime river fishing is what I know best. Needless to say, this division could get interesting in a hurry!

Thank you for following along with my bass fishing career,

Melvin Smitson
